In this work area "My Lean-Case Projects", users cancreate and manage Lean-Case Projects. They can always access this work areaby
clicking on the Lean-Case logo in the upper left corner or
using the User Profile Menu in the upper right corner.
What you can do in this work area, depends on your Member Status and your Project Roles.
if any Lean-Case user shared one of his Lean-Case projects with you - assigning you the Project Role"Viewer" or "Editor", you can only access this project but not create new projects.
if you have been invited to join this Lean-Case Workspace as a "Full Member" - for example by your company, accelerator or investor - you can create new and manage existing Lean-Case Projects
if you even are the Owner of this Lean-Case Workspace (e.g. by signing up for Free Trial or becoming a paying customer), you can - on top of creating and managing projects - even set up Blueprints for your workspace.
Let's check this out.
Create a new Lean-Case Project
If you are the Owner or a Full Member of this workspace, you can create a new project by clicking
on the “+” icon in the upper bar or
on the empty tile in the project area.
Then, you have the option
to start a Lean-Case project from scratch or
to start with a Blueprint and make it your own, with easy adaptations and editing.
If you pick the Blueprint option, you can browse all Blueprints which have been made available by Lean-Case or your organization. For many of the Blueprints, you can check out step-by-step tutorials and videos.
Once you create the new project, you can
enter a Project Name
select the currency for the project
select the project start date (which - by default is January of the current year)
pick the plan duration (which is often fixed to 5 years) and
upload a project logo
If you press the button <Create Lean-Case Project>, you create your first Lean-Case Project. Within the Lean-Case Project, you find further guidance. If you are a first time user, we strongly advise to check out our Product Training.
Manage a Lean-Case Project
Let’s return to the work area "My Lean-Case Projects" and check the context menu of the Lean-Case Project which you just created. Based on your project role, it allows different actions. There are 3 different roles you can have in a project. You can be the Project Owner, a Project Editor or a Project Viewer.
A Project Owner is the user who created the project and who is in full control over it. As a Project Owner, you can manage all project settings, duplicate a project and you are the only one who can delete the project. You can share the the project or any of its scenarios with others allowing them to edit or view the project and allowing these invited users to even share the project with other viewers. However, only the Project Owner can invite other Editors and even transfer ownership to someone else.
if you are a Project Editor, the project was shared with you by its Project Owner with editing rights. You have the same rights like the Project Owner except for 3 things: you cannot delete the project, you cannot invite other editors and you cannot transfer the ownership.
if you are a Project Viewer, the project was shared with you by its Project Owner, by an Editor or by a Viewer with viewing rights. You can check all the data in the project but you cannot make any edits and changes.
If you are creating your first Lean-Case, best is to check the Product Training which provides the most detailed introduction.
