Manager Roles
You can add Manager Roles to automatically add management layers. Manager Roles work similar to Team Roles but use different drivers. They are based on the headcounts hired into Groups and Team Roles to be able to add managerial layers (e.g. hire a team Lead per 6 developers in a Group or a Sales Manager per every 5 Sales Reps which are hired as Team Roles.
To add a Manager Role to a Headcount Team and define the driver how how roles are hired, select the tab <Manager Role> and click the button <+ Add Manager Role>

Enter a job description, e.g. Team Lead, Sales Director, Customer Success Manager, ..
In which function does this Manager Role work?
Pick a function from the dropdown
On which Headcount Group or Headcount Team Role is this Manager Role dependent?
Select the Headcount Group or Headcount Team Role on which this Manager Role is dependent (e.g. on the number of Group Members for Software Engineering). This is a drop-down field which lists all Groups and Team Roles.
For how many additional Group Members or Team Roles, do you want to hire one additional Manager Role?
Assume you want to hire one additional Manager Roles for every 10 Software Engineers. Then enter 10 into the field. You can enter a flat number or vary the number over time to reflect increased efficiency, … via the spreadsheet icon next to the input field.
Compensation (Manager Role)
Is this Team Role set up for Employees or for Contractors?
Select if this is a Team Role for Employees or Contractors. The standard Benefits & Taxes rate of 20% will be applied to calculate the compensation for employees but not for contractors.
Are these fulltime jobs?
If the Team Roles hold fulltime jobs, enter 100%. If these are half-time job, enter 50%, ..
How much do you pay as a monthly base salary for a fulltime job?
Enter the monthly base salary for a fulltime job. If this is a fulltime job (100%) with an annual base salary of 24.000, then enter a monthly salary of 2,000. If this is a half-time job (50%), then enter 1.000.
How much do you pay as a monthly variable salary for a fulltime job?
Enter the monthly variable salary for a fulltime job. If this is a fulltime job (100%) with an annual variable salary of 12.000, then enter a monthly salary of 1,000. If this is a half-time job (50%), then enter 500.
